Advanced diagnostic services are complimentary for eligible men and women in the program. If breast, cervical or colorectal cancers are discovered, patients are encouraged to enroll in the New York State Medicaid Cancer Treatment Program, where they will be afforded full Medicaid coverage for the duration of their cancer treatment. Although the Cancer Screening Program does not pay for prostate screening or diagnostic services, men diagnosed with prostate cancer by a doctor within the program may also enroll in the Medicaid Cancer Treatment Program.
