Welcome to Our Patients and Visitors

We believe our patients and visitors deserve the best we can deliver: excellent and compassionate clinical care, clear communication, a supportive environment, and fast resolution of problems. Our team of physicians, nurses, technologists, therapists, pharmacists and other professionals are working hard to ensure that your experience exceeds expectations. And there are other, non-medical professionals ready to serve you as well, such as interpreters, chaplains and financial counselors.

Special Notice to All Patients
Although we are committed to providing excellent care, we know there may be times when concerns arise. Voicing your concern will not influence your care, or limit your future access to care at NUMC. As soon as possible, please take the following steps until the situation is resolved:

  1. Report your concern to your nurse or staff member.
  2. Ask to speak with the Nurse Manager, or department’s supervisor or director.
  3. Contact a Patient Representative at (516) 572-5714.

Patient Satisfaction Surveys
We are constantly working to improve the patient experience, and your opinion matters. After you are discharged, you may receive a phone call for a patient satisfaction survey. Please take a moment to complete the survey. All surveys are confidential. If you wish to pass along a complaint or compliment, please write to Judy Eisele-LaPlante at Nassau University Medical Center, 2201 Hempstead Turnpike, East Meadow, NY 11554.

Submit a question online
Your doctor is your best source for medical information, and the answers to most other questions regarding your stay or visit can be found on this site. If you cannot find the answers you seek, you may submit your question to Judy Eisele-LaPlante for a response at jeisele@numc.edu.
