TRADITIONAL OSTEOPATHIC ROTATING INTERNSHIP BASED AT NASSAU UNIVERSITY MEDICAL CENTER RECEIVES FIVE-YEAR ACCREDITATION

The Traditional Osteopathic Rotating Internship based at Nassau University Medical Center recently received “Five Years of Continuing Approval” sponsored by NYCOM. This is the maximum time allowed for residency training approval by an accrediting body.

Nassau University Medical Center is approved for twenty-one rotating interns who “rotate” through each of the clinical departments. Upon completion of the rotating internship, many of NUMC’s graduates go on to other fully accredited residency programs based within the medical center. Ultimately, several graduates go on to practice on Long Island and in the New York metropolitan area.
