Paul Pipia, MD Elected President-Elect of the Medical Society of the State of New York 

East Meadow, N.Y., June 2nd, 2022 – Paul A. Pipia, MD, Chair of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Nassau University Medical Center, was elected President-Elect of the Medical Society of the State of New York (MSSNY) on May 21st, 2022. 

NuHealth is proud to announce that Dr. Paul Pipa, Chair of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Interim Chair of the Department of Neurology, and Deputy Medical Director at Nassau University Medical Center (NUMC) was elected on May 21st, 2022 as President-Elect of the Medical Society of the State of New York (MSSNY). 

MSSNY is a physician advocacy group that works in tandem with state legislators to ensure physicians can provide evidence-based, appropriate courses of care to patients. Dr. Pipia’s recent election to President-Elect follows 14 years of service in the organization, including positions as MSSNY PAC Vice-Chair, Chair of the Federal Legislation Committee, Chair of the State Legislation Committee, and Councilor for Nassau County. 

Chairman of the Board, Matthew Bruderman, congratulated Dr. Pipia on his recent appointment, stating “This is an outstanding achievement and a testament to the excellence of NuHealth’s medical staff.” Dr. Pipia began his career by completing his residency at Nassau University Medical Center, where he continues to provide superior health care to patients, educate and train junior physicians, and contribute to medical research in his field. NuHealth congratulates Dr. Pipia and thanks him for his continued dedication to Nassau County residents.
