NUMC’S DR. CRUZ DONATES 13 PDAS TO FELLOW RESIDENTS

Since the summer, Dr. Eric Cruz, one of the Chief Residents in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) at Nassau University Medical Center, had a vision of providing PDAs for all of the 13 residents in the department. He gave lectures to various businesses on preventing back injuries, and enlisted the assistance of local vendors. He not only was able to purchase 13 PDAs, he was able to give them to his fellow residents fully loaded with programs designed to improve clinical care and teaching. At the PM&R holiday party, Dr. Cruz presented his gift to his stunned co-residents.
