NASSAU UNIVERSITY MEDICAL CENTER’S CHAIR OF PHYSICAL MEDICINE AND REHABILITATION, LYN D. WEISS, MD, PUBLISHES EASY INJECTIONS BOOK

East Meadow, NY….. Lyn D. Weiss, MD, chair of the department of physical medicine and rehabilitation at Nassau University Medical Center recently published her fourth book, titled Easy Injections providing a practical, one-of-a kind manual to guide practitioners step by step through the most common injection techniques for a full range of disorders.

Co-written with Julie K Silver, Ted A. Lennard and Jay M. Weiss, Easy Injections provides master accurate needle placement and recommendations for optimal care.

In congratulating Dr. Weiss on the publication of her fourth book, Arthur A. Gianelli, president/CEO of the Nassau Health Care Corporation said:  “With its accessible, portable size, Easy Injections is an invaluable source of guidance on performing common injection techniques that physicians can carry and consult anywhere.

Lyn D. Weiss, chairman of the physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R) department is a 1985 graduate of SUNY Downstate Medical Center School of Medicine and is board certified in both physical medicine and rehabilitation and electrodiagnostic medicine.  She served both her internship and her residency at Nassau University Medical Center and has been chairman of the department since 1994.  In addition to the chairmanship, Dr. Weiss is also the director of the residency-both locally and  
outside of New York for the past 14 years. Dr Ramani has volunteered several hours of her time for activities related to advocacy for children’s mental health needs.
 
In accepting the award, Dr. Ramani said:  “It was really a privilege and honor to be recognized while in the company of very accomplished physicians from the metropolitan region all committed to advocating on behalf of children’s mental health issues.”
