NASSAU HEALTH CARE CORPORATION’S PRESIDENT/CEO ARTHUR GIANELLI MEETS WITH SENATOR KEMP HANNON AND NEW YORK STATE HEALTH COMMISSIONER RICHARD DAINES, MD.

Nassau Health Care Corporation president/CEO, Arthur A. Gianelli, met with New York State Health Commissioner Richard F. Daines, MD, New York State Senator Kemp Hannon and Julie Mirkin, RN, senior vice president for patient care services at the Nassau Health Care Corporation, at a conference held at Hofstra University on September 27, 2007.  Dr. Daines was the guest speaker at the conference coordinated by the Long Island Legislative Delegation.  At the conference, Dr. Daines discussed his outlook on healthcare in the state of New York and the challenges faced by health care professionals.  As the new State Health Commissioner, Dr. Daines has a say over the entire spectrum of health care in New York and provided the audience of health care executives with his thoughts about the direction that New York will take in the field of health care.  Dr. Daines is conducting hearings on expanding care in NY, is leading a Technical Advisory Group on Bad Debt and Charity Care for NY’s Hospitals and recently presented a thought provoking speech on Medical education.
