LINDA WALSH, CERTIFIED THERAPEUTIC RECREATION SPECIALIST AT NASSAU UNIVERSITY MEDICAL CENTER PRESENTED THE VOLUNTEER AUXILIARY WITH AN “UNSUNG HERO” AWARD

For over 25 years the Volunteer Department has been supporting many of the programs that the department provides to the patients as well as the decorations in the lobby, providing transportation for the psychiatry, grooming supplies, clothing and support for the children’s Holiday Parties. There is never a reasonable request that gets turned down by the NUMC Auxiliary and they have made a major impact on the patients quality of life.
