LI MINORITY AIDS COALITION TO ELIMINATE DISPARITIES HOLDS CONFERENCE AT NASSAU UNIVERSITY MEDICAL CENTER

The Long Island Minority Aids Coalition held a conference at Nassau University Medical Center for health care professionals interested in learning about the policies for change and the implications for improved outcomes in HIV/AIDS prevention and care in diverse populations. The participants learned how policy directs and influences strategies and interventions, how to provide culturally appropriate care and services to diverse populations and how to raise awareness of specific strategies and programs to address HIV/AIDS that have resulted from changes in policy.
