Welcome to NuHealth! Here we have a guiding mission, “To provide the best possible care to the residents of LI, particularly to its most vulnerable patients, and to offer the best possible education to the nation’s next generation of medical professionals.” But, we never lose sight of our most important asset: human capital. Our people are working hard while embracing the challenges of operating a publicly-funded health system. Last year alone, our 3,400 employees treated 75,000 emergencies, cared for 23,000 inpatients, and saw more than 200,000 patients in our 80-plus outpatient specialty clinics. What’s more, our 589-bed A. Holly Patterson Extended Care Facility is operating at 95% capacity, and our Family Health Centers recorded 65,000 visits. We are committed to helping the dedicated people in our employ find new ways to improve operating efficiency and patient satisfaction, and to acknowledge those who go the extra mile.
Whether you will be working at Nassau University Medical Center, A. Holly Patterson Extended Care Facility, one of our Family Health Centers, or providing care at the Nassau County Correctional Center we are excited for you to join us!
To ensure that you are able hit the ground running, we have put your pre-employment forms here along with a short, informational video. Please print the forms and then watch the video for important information about each form. The forms are more complicated than they appear and the video is less than 5 minutes in length. Completing the forms in advance gives you time to carefully review them.
Please bring the forms with you on your first day of work. Do not send them via e-mail.
On your first day, remember
• Your completed forms
• Your ID for i-9 purposes (discussed in the video)
• Your dedication
If you need help with the forms, we can help you on the first day. For other questions, you can reach HR at 516-572-6301 or for A. Holly Patterson only 516-572-1490.
HR is here to support you – see you soon!
