NUMC’S PEDIATRICS DEPARTMENT SELECTED AS A RECIPIENT OF THE EAST MEADOW CHAMBER OF COMMERCE CULINARY DELIGHTS FUNDRAISER

—Donation Will Help Purchase a Luminex Vein Finder for Micropremies—

East Meadow, NY…..Nassau University Medical Center’s pediatrics department, under the chairmanship of Harvey Aiges, MD, has been named as one of the recipients of the East Meadow Chamber of Commerce Culinary Delights Fundraiser. 

The annual fundraiser, to be held at the Mirage Nightclub on Merrick Avenue in Westbury on Monday, September 24th at 6:00PM, highlights local restaurants, bakeries, confectioners, and beverages.  It offers an opportunity to sample cuisines and drinks from numerous local establishments while at the same time, raising funds for worthwhile organizations devoted to caring for children.

Upon being notified of the upcoming donation to the pediatrics department, Arthur A. Gianelli, President/CEO of the Nassau Health Care Corporation said: “We are delighted and grateful to have been selected as one of this year’s recipients of the East Meadow Chamber of Commerce Culinary Delights fundraiser. The donation, to be made in the fall to the Nassau University Medical Center pediatrics department, will help to purchase a Luminex Vein Finder that will reduce pain while finding little veins and arteries in micropremies and obese patients.”
