NASSAU UNIVERSITY MEDICAL CENTER PARTICIPATED IN A CHARITABLE ORGANIZATION’S CAMPAIGN TO PROVIDE SOME COLORFUL SCRUBS FOR US MILITARY HOSPITALS IN KUWAIT

Nassau University Medical Center participated in a charitable organization’s campaign to provide some colorful scrubs for US military hospitals in Kuwait to replace some of the brown scrubs they use, which  are depressing to the recuperating service men and women.

Arthur Gianelli, President/CEO of the Nassau Health Care Corporation was excited about the hospital’s participation and said: “Adopt-a-Soldier Platoon works with various deployed military units, sending care cartons and engaging in special projects with the goal of improving morale and letting the soldiers, sailors, marines and airmen know that we care. Our staff in our laundry division worked tirelessly to find un-needed colorful scrubs to cheer up our troops. Chaplain Moon was thrilled to receive the 150+ pairs of colorful scrubs NUMC sent.”

Ben Diamond, President of Health Care Compliance Strategies, Inc. and an organizer of the campaign to obtain scrubs for our soldiers, said upon receiving the NUMC donation of colorful scrubs: “Thank you again for your generous donation for the troops. I want to let you know how personally thrilled I am. Of the many healthcare clients across the country I asked to assist in this project, NUMC was the first and the loudest to respond. Thank you for making me proud to be an East Meadow resident!”
