NASSAU UNIVERSITY MEDICAL CENTER AUXILIARY ANNUAL GOLF OUTING

East Meadow, NY – The Nassau University Medical Center Auxiliary will host their annual golf outing on Monday, September 17, 2007 at the Eisenhower Park Red Course in East Meadow followed by a dinner at The Carltun. Arthur A. Gianelli, President & CEO, Nassau University Medical Center along with Jerry Laricchiuta, President of CSEA, Nassau Local 830, will be the honored as longtime supporters of Nassau University Medical Center.

All funds raised for this event will directly benefit the Emergency Department at Nassau University Medical Center.

“We are especially excited for this year’s event because of the fact that all proceeds will go directly to our Emergency Department, one of the leading Departments of Emergency Medicine in the nation,” said Clementine Bianco, President of the Nassau University Medical Center Auxiliary and co-chair of this year’s event.  “We are also privileged to have both Arthur Gianelli and Jerry Laricchiuta as our honorees.”

The cost of the outing is $400.00 per player and $1,600 per foursome, which will include golf, lunch, cocktails and buffet dinner. Registration will begin at 11:30 a.m., and shotgun start at 1:00 p.m.  

Nassau University Medical Center has one of the leading Departments of Emergency Medicine in the nation.  They offer Long Island’s top Level 1 Trauma Center, which treats more than 50% of all serious trauma cases in Nassau County.  They also feature six separate Emergency Rooms.  The staff is trained in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Trauma Life support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.  Nassau University Medical Center is such a leader in emergency medicine, that if the President of the United States ever requires medical attention when visiting Nassau County, they are the hospital designated to care for him.
