Breast Cancer Screenings in Your Community at the NUMC Mobile Mammography Center
Among the many benefits provided to the community outside the medical center, NUMC ‘s mobile mammography screening service brings potentially life-saving medical technology to residents across the county each year. Screening is key to prevention and successful treatment.
Each screening in our state-of-the-art mobile center includes a breast examination by a nurse, a mammogram and instructions for breast self-examination at home.
Patients with insurance must bring a referral/prescription from their doctor (NOTE: If patient does not bring a referral/prescription they cannot be seen). The mammography is free for uninsured women, based on eligibility guidelines
