WAI AU-YEUNG HONORED AS NUMC’S FEBRUARY 2008 EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH
— NETWORK ANALYST SERVES AS A ROLE MODEL FOR OTHERS THROUGH HIS COMMITMENT TO EXCELLENCE IN THE INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT-

East Meadow, New York… At a reception hosted by the employees of the Nassau University Medical Center, Wai Au-Yeung, network analyst was honored for his contributions as an architect of the Nassau Health Care Corporation’s data network.

In congratulating Wai Au-Yeung and presenting him with a plaque in recognition of his dedication, Paul Rowland, Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the Nassau Health Care Corporation said: “It is a pleasure to recognize you for your hard work and  efforts in caring for an ever expanding bank of primary computer devices.   You serve as a role model to your group of highly trained and talented computer technicians.”

Wai Au-Yeung was born in Hong Kong and immigrated to the United States at the age of 18.  He earned both his BS in computer science and MS in applied math from Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, New York. He started working at the Nassau University Medical Center in 1995 in the information technology department where he is responsible for the network infrastructure.

He lives in Merrick with his wife, Carney and newborn baby boy, Louis.
