WHAT: Opening of a new $6M state-of-the-art Nassau County Firefighters Burn Center at Nassau University Medical Center, providing continued access to first-class burn care services and helping to save lives in Nassau County’s only burn center with a reputation for superior burn and wound care treatment

WHY: Recognized nationally as a leading treatment center for burn victims, the new burn center at NUMC is of critical importance to firefighters, victims of catastrophic accidents and to the numerous emergencies that occur in densely populated Long Island. Opening of a new Burn Center enhances NUMC’s mission to provide quality of care to all regardless of ability to pay by experienced staff dedicated to promote the recovery and healing of burn patients.
