EAST MEADOW, NY… Arthur A. Gianelli, President/CEO of the NuHealth System announced that Satish Kadakia, MD, chair of the neurology department at the Nassau University Medical Center had been included in the Top 50 Smartest Neurologists in the U.S. Over 8,000 physicians participated with their colleagues in a daily quiz given by the Smartest DocTM. Dr. Kadakia who ranked in the Top 50, received a certificate of Achievement from Smartest DocTM, part of MDLinx.

Dr. Kadakia completed his residency and his fellowship in neurology with special competency in child neurology at NUMC from 1986 until 1989. He then became an attending physician in neurology as well as the director of the muscular dystrophy clinic and the neuro-muscular clinic at NUMC. Dr. Kadakia assumed the role of chairman of the department of neurology in 2002. Board certified in neurology and neuro-developmental disabilities, Dr. Kadakia resides in Syosset.
