NUMC’S PEDIATRIC PATIENTS PARTICIPATE IN HALLOWEEN PARADE IN CAFETERIA
Nassau University Medical Center pediatric unit patients participated in the “Pediatric Halloween Parade” in the hospital’s cafeteria. The children were provided with costumes and brought down to receive candies, coloring books and other treats from the employees of NUMC.
Accompanied by staff from the pediatric unit, the children arrived during the employees’ lunch hour in the cafeteria and were greeted enthusiastically.
According to Arthur A. Gianelli, president/CEO of the Nassau Health Care Corporation: “The children were adorable, the treats were plentiful and the smiles contagious. The staff helped the children feel as though they didn’t miss out on anything because they were hospitalized and did not have the opportunity this year to go “trick or treating” with their friends in their neighborhood. It was a fun day for all.”
