NUMC SPONSORS BLOOD DRIVE/BONE MARROW DRIVE IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE NEW YORK STATE FRATERNAL ORDER OF POLICE, EMPIRE STATE LODGE, IN MEMORY OF TERRY FARRELL

East Meadow, New York….Nassau University Medical Center will be sponsoring a blood drive/bone marrow drive in conjunction with the New York State Fraternal Order of Police, Empire State Lodge, on Thursday, May 29th, 2008 from 3 PM until 8 PM at 911 Police Plaza in Hicksville.  This blood/bone marrow drive is being held in memory of Terry Farrell, a former Transit Police officer and fireman.  Terry Farrell had donated his bone marrow to a young woman and had saved her life.  Unfortunately, on September 11th, Terry Farrell was killed and his friends are holding the blood/marrow drive in his memory.
