NUMC PULMONARY FELLOWS INVITED TO PRESENT AT INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF AMERICAN COLLEGE OF CHEST PHYSICIANS

East Meadow, NY………..Victor F. Politi, MD, FACP, FACEP, NuHealth/NUMC’s President/CEO, announces that two of Nassau University Medical Center’s pulmonary fellows have been invited to speak and present four case reports at the International Conference of American College of Chest Physicians. The CHEST Annual Meeting 2017 is scheduled for October 28, 2017 to November 1, 2017 in Toronto, Canada, and is expected to be attended by over four thousand pulmonary specialists from throughout the world.

The CHEST Annual Meeting, a prestigious international conference, is a connection to education opportunities that help to optimize patient care. Hundreds of clinically relevant sessions and the community of innovative problem-solvers who attend, will inspire and energize those in attendance. The conference will offer more than 400 general sessions, simulated education sessions, original investigation presentations and new diagnostic and treatment solutions.

“Congratulations to our two pulmonary fellows, Drs. Catherine Stadler and Syed Iqbal, on being invited to speak at the International Conference of American College of Chest Physicians. We are proud of your achievements and you deserve recognition for your impressive case reports,” said Dr. Politi.

The two pulmonary fellows, Drs. Stadler and Iqbal, of the division of pulmonary medicine in the department of medicine at NUMC,  will present four case reports of interesting patients who have presented with challenging diagnosis. They were mentored by Dr. Artur Alaverdian, program director of the fellowship program in critical care and pulmonary and by Dr. Jagadish Akella, associate program director.
