Well-deserved testament to Dr. Faust’s skills as a top physician committed to NUMC’s mission of providing patients with the highest quality of care
East Meadow, NY…..Glenn R. Faust, MD, chair of surgery at Nassau University Medical Center (NUMC) has been named one of the New York area’s Best Doctors, as published in the Best Doctors in America 2011-2012 database.
According to Best Doctors, the selection process was a yearlong process, with questionnaires sent to thousands of top physicians in the New York area. Nominees were sought in almost every specialty, with the emphasis on direct patient care. The Best Doctors in America database is a valued resource that contains the names and professionals of approximately 47,000 of the best doctors in the United States. An exhaustive peer-review survey by thousands of doctors determines the physicians included in the database. Only those who earn the consensus support of their peers are included.

Dr. Faust has been the chief in the division of vascular surgery in the department of surgery at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. Dr. Faust had been the associate program director in the general surgery residency program at North Shore/LIJ Health System. Dr. Faust graduated from the Yale University School of Medicine and completed his residency in general surgery at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. From 1991 until 1992, Dr. Faust completed his fellowship in vascular surgery, at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park, NY. Certified by the American Board of Surgery with a certificate of special qualifications in vascular surgery, Dr. Faust, who is an assistant professor of surgery at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, is active in the New York Cardiovascular Society and is a Fellow in the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Faust has received numerous awards, including being named Teacher of the Year by General Surgery Residents and being included in the 2001 New York Magazine Best Doctors in New York. Active in many community organizations and having published extensively, he has served on numerous hospital committees at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. Dr. Faust resides in East Hills.
