NUHEALTH’S ALAN S. MULTZ, MD, FACP, FCCP, FCCM, CHAIR OF MEDICINE AND LYN D. WEISS, MD, CHAIR OF PHYSICAL MEDICINE AND REHABILITATION INCLUDED IN NEW YORK MAGAZINE’S BEST DOCTORS 2013
Physicians’ hard work and dedication to promoting a culture that delivers the best in patient care and safety helped them achieve national recognition
East Meadow, NY…..Arthur A. Gianelli, President/CEO of the NuHealth System, announces that Alan S. Multz, MD, FACP, FCCP, FCCM, Chair of Medicine and Lyn D. Weiss, MD, Chair of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Nassau University Medical Center, have been included in the prestigious New York Magazine’s Best Doctors 2013, June 24th issue. Castle Connolly, Ltd., a research and information company, publishes an annual guidebook titled Top Doctors: New York Metro Area, which lists those whom Castle Connolly has determined to be in the top ten percent of the region’s physicians—nearly 5900 in all. The current New York Magazine issue includes a shorter version which lists 1198 physicians, all highly recommended by their peers and thoroughly screened by Castle Connolly, a trusted source for identifying top doctors and helping consumers find the best in healthcare. The physicians listed in the guide and on the website are nominated by their peers in an extensive survey involving tens of thousands each year. Nominated physicians are carefully screened by the Castle Connolly physician-led research team before final selection.
“Your hard work and dedication to promoting a culture that delivers the best in patient care and patient safety at the Nassau University Medical Center, A. Holly Patterson Extended Care Facility or the Family Health Centers, have helped you achieve this significant honor. Your impressive achievements have placed you among our nation’s best. We applaud both of you and cannot think of a better recognition for you,” stated Gianelli.
Steven J. Walerstein, MD, FACP, executive vice president for medical affairs and medical director at the NuHealth System, added: “Congratulations on your inclusion in New York Magazine’s Best Doctors 2013. This selection reflects not only the respect in which you are held by your peers, but also by the many thousands of patients who value these guides as the source for identifying excellent physicians and quality care.”
