NUHEALTH STAFF PARTICIPATES IN “COVER THE UNINSURED WEEK”, PROVIDING INSURANCE OPTIONS AVAILABLE TO PATIENTS
What: NuHealth staff will distribute educational materials highlighting the various insurance options available to our patients. “Cover the uninsured week” is a nationwide event sponsored by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to raise awareness and call for solutions for the 46 million uninsured Americans, including 9 million children who lack health insurance.
Who: NuCare, NuHealth’s Institute for Healthcare Disparities and Health First
When: Two hour educational event on Monday March 15th in Roosevelt/Freeport Family Health Center at 380 Nassau Road, Roosevelt, on Wednesday March 17th, in Hempstead Family Health Center, 135 Main Street, Hempstead, on Thursday March 18th in Westbury/New Casell Family Health Center, 683 Union Avenue, Westbury and on Friday March 19th in Elmont Family Health Center, 161 Hempstead Turnoike, Elmont. All events are scheduled from 9 to 11 a.m.
