NUHEALTH FOUNDATION BOARD OF DIRECTORS WELCOMES THREE NEW BOARD MEMBERS, ERROL S. KITT, PETER J. KLEIN AND JORDAN A. ZIEGLER

East Meadow, NY… Deidra Parrish-Williams, executive director of the NuHealth Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the NuHealth System, is pleased to announce that the NuHealth Foundation board of directors has welcomed three additional board members, Errol S. Kitt, Peter J. Klein and Jordan A. Ziegler, who have recently joined the board.

“On behalf of board Chairman Paul Tonna, and the entire NuHealth Foundation board of directors, I’m thrilled to welcome Errol, Peter and Jordan to our team. The Foundation’s sole purpose is raising visibility and funding to support Long Island’s safety net health system and the thousands of vulnerable people it serves. There is tremendous need among our patients and substantial challenges in our industry; having these three talented gentlemen join us gives us much-needed additional resources to help ensure that every NuHealth patient receives the best health care possible,” said Ms. Parrish Williams.

Errol S. Kitt is vice president at GEI and an environmental practice leader. An environmental engineer with thirty years of experience, Mr. Kitt focuses his efforts at GEI on managing and directing environmental assessment, investigation and remediation programs for clients on Long Island and in the Metro-New York area. These programs include projects involving remedial investigations and feasibility studies, groundwater and hydrogeologic investigations, environmental site assessments for real estate transactions, regulatory compliance and remedial measures. These projects have been conducted at Superfund, hazardous waste, municipal landfill and manufactured gas plant sites, as well as industrial, commercial, research and institutional facilities in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania. Mr. Kitt received his bachelor’s degree in environmental technology/engineering from Cornell University and his master’s degree in civil/environmental engineering from Polytechnic Institute of New York. He is located in GEI’s Huntington Station, Long Island office. Mr. Kitt resides in Lloyd Harbor.

Peter J. Klein is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and UBS’s Global Circle of Excellence award recipient. Mr. Klein had previously been an adjunct professor in finance for graduate students at CW Post College and author of “Getting Started in Security Analysis 1st & 2nd editions (Wiley, 1998, 2009). Mr. Klein is an active member of the CFA Institute, NY Society of Security Analysts, Bronx High School of Science Alumni, Westinghouse (Intel) Science Talent Search Award Alumni, St. Patrick’s School Golf Committee; Long Island Power Network; St. Anthony’s Fathers Guild. Mr. Klein sits on the board of directors for several organizations which include President of The Claire Friedlander Family Foundation, and board member of Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Rosen Family Wellness Center at Long Island Jewish Hospital, the Holocaust & Tolerance Center of Nassau County and the Long Island Community Foundation. Mr. Klein received a bachelor’s degree in economics in 1987 from SUNY Stony Brook and his master’s degree in finance in 1995 from CUNY Baruch College. Mr. Klein is a fully licensed and registered securities professional since 1986. Mr. Klein resides in Huntington.

Jordan A. Ziegler is a senior partner of the New York law firm of Pasternack Tilker Ziegler Walsh Stanton & Romano LLP where his practice includes Workers’ Compensation, Personal Injury, Social Security Disability, and Municipal Disability Retirement Pensions. He serves as chair to the law firm’s municipal disability retirement pension department. Jordan is a strong advocate for the rights of injured workers. He is disability counsel for numerous police and law enforcement associations, utility worker, and building trade unions throughout New York. He is the legal services provider to the Suffolk County Police Benevolent Association legal benefit fund, General Counsel to the Suffolk County Police Columbia Association, and Fraternal Order of Police Lodge, Riverhead, NY. He serves on the World Trade Center Council Advisory Commission established in conjunction with the Mount Sinai-Selikoff and the NYU/Bellevue occupational and environmental medicine clinics on Workers’ Compensation.  Jordan received his law degree from The Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center at Touro College in New York, and received his Bachelors Degree from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. He is admitted to practice law before the United States Supreme Court and in the state and federal courts of New York and is an active member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, as well as the New York State and American Bar Associations, the National Association of Police Organizations (NAPO), and the New York Coalition for Occupational Safety and Health (NYCOSH).Mr. Ziegler is an active columnist in magazines, newsletters and journals for various utility worker, trade union, and police and law enforcement associations. He is also an active member of the Eastern Long Island Police Pipes and Drums marching band.  Jordan Ziegler resides in Great Neck, NY.
