East Meadow, NY….Arthur A. Gianelli, President/CEO of the Nassau Health Care Corporation, announced that Larry Slatky, Senior Vice President for A. Holly Patterson Extended Care Facility in Uniondale, had received notification from the New York State Department of Health Nursing Home Administrators Board of Examiners that Mr. Slatky had been approved as a Preceptor for the Administrator-in-Training Program and that A.H.P. had been approved as a training site.

“This is a tremendous accomplishment and recognition for both Larry Slatky and for A.H.P., demonstrating A.H.P.’s ability to provide quality of care and life to residents and that the operation at A.H.P. is well on the way to recovery.  Mr. Slatky’s many years of experience as a skilled nursing home administrator will prove to be invaluable in his service as a preceptor,” stated Mr. Gianelli.

In order to be considered as a training site, a nursing home is required to demonstrate two years of not having obtained any quality of care deficiencies.  The Department of Health in New York State reviewed Mr. Slatky’s past experiences as an administrator and outcomes of care from various facilities that he operated.  During the past five years, Mr. Slatky has been the administrator for A.H.P. and has demonstrated A.H.P.’s ability to provide quality of care and life to the residents.  Mr. Slatky, excited to serve as a preceptor to Bradley Liebman, a resident of East Meadow, stated:
