NASSAU UNIVERSITY MEDICAL CENTER OFFICIALS TO DISCUSS EBOLA CRISIS TRAINING FOR POLICE, FIREFIGHTERS, EMS AND HOSPITAL WORKERS

 

 

East Meadow, N.Y. (October 9, 2014) -Nassau University Medical Center President and CEO, Dr. Victor F. Politi, MD, FACP, and infectious disease experts will be available to discuss training that is being scheduled for Nassau County firefighters, police, and EMS, and hospital workers by specialists on the latest updates regarding the Ebola virus and methods used for personal protection. They will also discuss preparations being made at the hospital Today,  Thursday, October 9, 2014 at 1pm at Nassau University Medical Center at 2201 Hempstead Turnpike in East Meadow, NY.  

 

The first patient diagnosed with Ebola in United States died yesterday at a Dallas hospital after being diagnosed two weeks ago.

 

Local hospitals and clinics are also taking precaution against the possibility of Ebola reaching this area, beginning with a more detailed screening process for patients, but also fully equipping the staff.
