NASSAU UNIVERSITY MEDICAL CENTER AND LONG ISLAND
MINORITY AIDS COALITION TO ELIMINATE HEALTH DISPARITIES, TO HOLD CONFERENCE:
“WELLNESS, THE WHOLE PERSON ORIENTATION PARADIGM”


East Meadow, NY….Nassau University Medical Center (NUMC) in conjunction with the LI Minority AIDS Coalition to Eliminate Health Disparities, will be holding a conference on Tuesday June 17, 2008 from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM in the NUMC auditorium.  Titled “Wellness, the Whole Person Orientation Paradigm”, the conference’s goals are to promote comprehensive, integrated quality care supported by patient centered communication and cultural responsiveness for diverse groups and people living with HIV/AIDS. 

The free conference is aimed for health care providers, health care professionals, policymakers, consumers as well as the general public.  Since refreshments will be provided, advance registration is required by writing to Long Island Minority AIDS Coalition, 1045 Route 109, Suite 101, Lindenhurst, NY  11757, calling Vickie White at 631-225-5500 or the Public Affairs Department at NUMC at 516-572-6055.
