NASSAU HEALTH CARE CORPORATION’S INSTITUTE FOR HEALTHCARE DISPARITIES AT NASSAU UNIVERSITY MEDICAL CENTER, IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE NASSAU COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH, THE AMERICAN DIABETES ASSOCIATION, NASSAU COUNTY OFFICE OF MINORITY AFFAIRS AND FIDELIS CARE NEW YORK WILL HOST A MINORITY HEALTH DISPARITIES FORUM SERIES
East Meadow, NY….. The Institute for Healthcare Disparities at Nassau University Medical Center, in partnership with the Nassau County Office of Minority Affairs and Fidelis Care New York, Nassau County Department of Health and the American Diabetes Association will be presenting a minority health disparities forum series.
In announcing the lecture series, Arthur A. Gianelli, President/CEO of the Nassau Health Care Corporation said: “In celebration of National Minority Health Month, medical screenings, blood pressure, asthma, cancer screenings and education will be offered at our lecture series held in Roosevelt, Elmont and Freeport. The mission of our institute is to greatly reduce or eliminate disparities in health care access and outcomes in Nassau’s vulnerable communities, in partnerships with national and local health and advocacy organizations, offering educational and research outreach to communities of need and access to services in a way not currently available.”
There will also be face painting, games and raffle prizes. The forum is FREE of charge and no appointments are necessary. Your health is worth it and we want to keep you healthy. The Minority Health Disparities Forum Series will be held on the following dates and locations:
