Nassau Health Care Corporation Adds FollowMyHealth Online Patient Portal for Easy Access to Medical Records
East Meadow, N.Y., July 23, 2021 – Nassau Health Care Corporation has introduced FollowMyHealth, an online patient portal, to its website. The portal will allow patients at NHCC facilities, including Nassau University Medical Center and the A. Holly Patterson Extended Care Facility, to securely access medical records, physician notes, prescriptions, and more online.
Nassau Health Care Corporation (NHCC) is proud to announce the addition of FollowMyHealth, a secure, online patient portal, to the Nassau University Medical Center website (www.numc.edu). The addition of the portal will make it easier for patients to communicate with physicians and pharmacists, as well as access their medical and lab records.
Through the FollowMyHealth portal, patients at Nassau University Medical Center (NUMC) and the A. Holly Patterson Extended Care Facility can conveniently access and manage information about their personal health from the comfort of their cell phones and/or homes. This information includes prescription and lab results, notes from prior doctor appointments, as well as discharge instructions following a hospital stay. Records from physician offices or hospitals not affiliated with NHCC are also accessible. In certain instances, patients may also be able to email physicians directly.
Both parents of minors under the age of 13, and legal guardians of adults with impaired decision-making abilities, will be able to view health records. All personal health information is securely stored, and the portal complies with HIPAA regulations. To access their data, patients will need to create a unique login and password. The downloadable app is available for iPhone/iPad and Android devices.
