NUMC KIWANIS AND PEDIATRIC STAFF TO HOST HOLIDAY PARTY AT NUMC FOR 200 CHILDREN
East Meadow, NY……….In keeping the tradition that started 30 years ago, the Nassau University Medical Center Kiwanis Club and hospital pediatric staff will be hosting the “Pediatric Holiday Party”, on Friday December 13th from 6pm until 9PM, in the NUMC Auditorium. This year the expected 200+ children will be treated to dinner, graciously provided by the East Meadow Panera Bread Restaurant. Sponsored by the Starlight Children’s Foundation, elves will be entertaining the children with balloon animals, jump castles, cotton candy and crafts. Steven Glus will be the DJ for the evening and his fellow member from the United Methodist Church, Casey Jones will be painting faces while other members of the congregation will be providing each child with a Teddy Bear. Santa, arriving at 7:30PM, will be making an appearance and giving each special child a gift. This magical evening for the children is a true group effort, coordinated by Linda Walsh, director of therapeutic recreation at NUMC.
