MARTIN DIAMOND, DO, DIRECTOR OF OSTEOPATHIC MEDICAL EDUCATION AT NUMC, INVITED TO SPEAK AT QUEENS COLLEGE ON CAREERS IN MEDICINE

East Meadow, NY….Martin Diamond, DO, director of osteopathic medical education at the Nassau University Medical Center, has been invited to join other prestigious Queens College alumni, on Wednesday April 24th in the President’s lounge, to discuss how Queens College served as the foundation for their medical careers.

Dr. Diamond, a 1958 graduate of Queens College, will return to his alma mater to address college students on the topic of Professionals in Campus: Careers in Medicine. The panel, which includes Dr. Louis Aledort, professor of clinical research in hemophilia, Mount Sinai School of Medicine, Dr. Richard Barakat, chief of the gynecology service in the department of surgery at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Dr. Jonathan Steinberg, director of the Arrhythmia Institute of Valley Health System in New York and New Jersey, will be moderated by Dr. Larry Liebovitch, dean of math and natural sciences at Queens College, with ample time scheduled to allow for questions and answers by college students interested in the field of medicine.

In expressing his pride at returning to Queens College, Dr. Diamond said; “It gives me great pleasure to return to my alma mater and provide college students with an opportunity to learn the challenges and opportunities of selecting medicine as a career. I am proud that Queens College provided me with the foundation necessary to accomplish my goals.”
