East Meadow, NY June 9, 2017… Lyn D. Weiss, MD, chair of physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R) department at the Nassau University Medical Center (NUMC), has co-authored her ninth medical book, a revised, expanded and updated new edition of the first and only Q & A review for physical medicine and rehabilitation.  This latest one is entitled Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Q & A Review in collaboration with Jay M. Weiss, MD a voluntary attending physiatrist and Harry Lenaburg, MD, a former NUMC resident who graduated in 2013 and who is now in practice in Dublin, Georgia. It is configured to help professionals quickly and efficiently review core topics, covering in detail the breadth and scope of PM&R knowledge and practice. Now with 16 sections addressing key concepts, the expanded second edition contains over 1,850 multiple choice questions with answers and explanations, with a mobile Q & A app for on-the-go study anytime, anywhere.

“Congratulations to Drs. Weiss, Weiss and Lenaburg on the publication of the “Q & A Review”, a comprehensive, active self-assessment tool for students, residents and attending physicians, as a question and answer format remains one of the most effective methods for self-study and exam preparation, with the ultimate goal to better serve patients,” said Victor F. Politi, MD, FACP, FACEP, NuHealth/NUMC President/CEO.

Dr. Weiss stated: “The authors have been privileged to work for and with many talented individuals and with the departments of PM&R at NUMC. We are extremely grateful to have the support and encouragement of NUMC’s executive staff and our President/CEO at the Nassau University Medical Center, Victor F. Politi, MD, FACP, FACEP, who have been role models in the practice of medicine and administration. They always put patient care first and strive to provide the best care possible. We have given better care to our patients because of them, and for that we are appreciative.”
