Joseph Tomaino, Experienced Healthcare Executive, Joins Nassau Health Care Corporation’s Board of Directors
Healthcare Veteran Brings Nearly 40 Years of Experience in Value-Based Care, Operational Turnarounds, and Health System Leadership
(EAST MEADOW, NY) – Nassau Health Care Corporation (NHCC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Joseph Tomaino as the newest member of the Board of Directors. A seasoned healthcare executive, Tomaino brings nearly four decades of experience in care delivery, health system management, and performance transformation across not-for-profit, for-profit, and government-sponsored sectors.

Joseph has helped healthcare systems adapt, grow, and succeed, all qualities that are essential as NUMC moves forward.”
Tomaino is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Grassi Healthcare Advisors, LLC, where he advises healthcare organizations nationwide on value-based care, population health, and strategic restructuring. He previously served as CEO of a major multi-hospital system’s Continuing Care Division, overseeing $280 million in operations and leading successful initiatives including CMS bundled payment models and large-scale program redesigns.

Tomaino brings additional experience having served on the boards of Westchester Medical Center and HEALTHIX, and as a member of the New York State Department of Health’s Managed Long-Term Care Clinical Advisory Group. He has held academic appointments at Columbia University, Pace University, and the College of New Rochelle.
He earned a Master of Science in Nursing Administration from the College of New Rochelle and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The Catholic University of America.
