INFORMATION FOR NUHEALTH EMPLOYEES IN ANTICIPATION OF SNOW STORM

 

East Meadow, NY….The following information is provided for NuHealth employees due to the impending snow storm onJanuary 2 and 3, 2014:

 

Transportation: Based on tonight’s snowfall, a decision will be made during the night, relative to providing transportation to essential personnel living within a five mile radius from NUMC. Please provide your name, cell and address with cross street when calling 516572-4440 with transportation request. Our ambulance and security divisions will make every attempt to pick up those living within a five mile radius who request transportation.

 

Parking: NUMC parking lots 2, 3 and 6 will be closed tonight to allow for snow removal during the night to facilitate employee parking availability tomorrow morning. Lots 4, 8 and along Intern Drive are available during the time that the others are closed for snow removal.

 

Radio announcements: Thanks to a partnership with the Nassau Community College, we have developed a plan to facilitate communications with our staff and patients in the event of an emergency. We are advising that you either visit NuHealth’s website (www.nuhealth.net or www.numc.edu) or listen to announcements that will be airing on WHPC 90.3FM, the Radio Voice at Nassau Community College. You will be hearing announcements at 6:58AM, 10:58AM, 2:58AM and 6:58PM, at which time Dr. Walerstein will be providing guidance and instructions relative to reporting to work or to availability of health services. Whether it’s  inclement weather, or other  emergencies,  Dr. Walerstein will  call the radio station precipitating any information that needs to be disseminated to the public.
