EAST MEADOW, NY…Arthur A. Gianelli, President/CEO of the NuHealth System, has been invited to address the Building Owners and Managers Association International’s (BOMA) Medical Office Buildings and Healthcare Facilities conference as a guest speaker, to discuss the issue of Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs). Gianelli’s conference session, scheduled for the morning of May 3, 2012 in Atlanta, Georgia, will focus on ACOs and Alternative Delivery Models.

“I am honored to have been invited to speak at BOMA’s conference on the topic of ACOs and Alternate Delivery Models, especially timely as health reform approaches. I also intend to discuss how we are leveraging NuHealth’s real estate to fulfill our health system’s mission, with fifty acres of developable land in the East Meadow hospital campus and over sixty acres in the Uniondale nursing home campus, both in the center of Nassau County,” indicated Gianelli. “The discussion will also focus on how our real estate strategies are evolving to help us meet the continued challenges of providing quality, cost effective care, with increased demands for capital in an uncertain economic and regulatory climate.”

During the conference, leaders will be able to tap into the largest network of healthcare real estate industry’s experts and deal makers. Included in the conference, are numerous sessions, mainly focused on emerging trends in healthcare, challenges for not-for-profit healthcare systems, physician alignment, repurposing real estate for alternate uses and capital demands and sources for healthcare organizations.
