EMILIA M. FERNANDES, NUMC’S EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH FOR DECEMBER 2007

At a reception hosted by the employees of Nassau University Medical Center, Emilia Fernandes was honored as the December 2007 Employee of the Month. Ms. Fernandes maintains the environment for which she is responsible in such a manner that NUMC always “looks good” both to the internal & external customers. 

In congratulating Ms. Fernandes upon receiving this well-deserved recognition, Arthur A. Gianelli, President/CEO of the Nassau Health Care Corporation stated: “Emilia is always cheerful and greets everyone with a smile.  She performs her tasks and discharges her responsibilities in an efficient, self-directed manner.  Ms. Fernandes interacts with patients & employees: asks if there is anything else that needs to be done. The pride in her work is reflected in the cleanliness of the areas that are her responsibility.  She never needs prompts and is very diligent in her work.  Ms. Emilia Fernandes is simply an exemplary employee.”
