EAST MEADOW, NY…Dominick Sabatino, MD, FAAP, director of pediatric hematology and oncology at Nassau University Medical Center is again included in Consumer’s Research Council of America – Guide to America’s Top Pediatricians 2010 Edition. Dr. Sabatino was one of a number of specialists selected to be included in this year’s 2010 edition of the guide.

Consumers’ Research Council of America is an independent research company based in Washington, DC that evaluates professional services throughout America. CRCA has compiled a list of top pediatricians throughout the US by utilizing a point system that uses a point value for criteria deemed valuable in determining the top health care professionals. The selection process is based on a point value system that awards points for educations and continuing education, years of practice, board certification and affiliations with professional associations.
Dr. Sabatino is a graduate of the University of Bologna, Italy, Faculty of Medicine and Surgery. He is board certified in both pediatrics and pediatric hematology and oncology. Since 1988, he has served as director of pediatric hematology and oncology at NUMC. Prior to joining the medical staff at NUMC, Dr. Sabatino was the associate director of pediatric hematology/oncology at the Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn New York and assistant professor of clinical pediatrics at SUNY, Health Sciences Center, School of Medicine in Brooklyn, New York. He is presently a professor of clinical pediatrics at SUNY Stony brook, School of Medicine. Dr. Sabatino is the author and contributor to several books, articles and abstracts. His particular area of expertise is hemoglobin disorders, and he was instrumental in establishing the first comprehensive Colley’s anemia program in Brooklyn in 1973.
