ARTHUR A. GIANELLI ANNOUNCES SIGNIFICANT IMPROVEMENTS ACHIEVED TO ENHANCE THE DELIVERY OF EMPLOYEE RELATED NEEDS AND HEALTH CONCERNS OF WORKERS IN NASSAU COUNTY, UNDER NEW DIVISION OF OCCUPATIONAL AND CORPORATE MEDICINE WITH NEW LOCATION AT NUMC, EXPEDITED CARE, EXPERIENCED STAFF AND PROTOCOLS

ENHANCED DELIVERY OF CUTTING EDGE OCCUPATIONAL MEDICINE SERVICES TO GOVERNMENTAL AGENCIES WILL HELP TO PROMOTE GOVERNMENTAL CONSOLIDATION OF SERVICES BY REDUCING COSTS AND PROVIDING COST SAVING BENEFIT TO TAXPAYERS OF NASSAU COUNTY

East Meadow, NY…. Arthur A. Gianelli announced that significant improvements have been achieved to enhance the delivery of employee related health services through the new Division of Occupational and Corporate Medicine:  “I am delighted to promote the significant improvements that have been achieved to enhance the delivery of employee related needs and health concerns of all employees working in Nassau County, under our new Division of Occupational and Corporate Medicine.  Headed by Jorge L. Gardyn, MD, FACP, Medical Director of Island Occupational Medical Resources, P.C., this new division has the potential to promote governmental consolidation of services and provide cost saving benefit to Nassau County taxpayers, at its new location at Nassau University Medical Center with expedited care, experienced, friendly staff and protocols to enhance the delivery of cutting edge occupational medicine services,” stated Mr. Gianelli.

The Department of Community Medicine and Ambulatory Care, with Mitchell Rubin, MD, as chairman, encompasses the Division of Occupational and Corporate Medicine. Dr. Gardyn, with many years of experience providing occupational health services to numerous governmental and corporate businesses on LI, stated: “Our Division of Occupational and Corporate Medicine at NUMC will address various employee related needs and health concerns of workers in Nassau County.  We are working diligently to add to our growing list of companies already committed to using our services for expedited care of pre-employment physicals, back fitness evaluations, workers comp services, drug testing, immunizations and all occupational consultative services for any business or governmental organization.”

The list of clients from governmental agencies, being served in the new division includes numerous Nassau County governmental agencies most notably, the Community College, Police Department, Fire Marshals, Department of Public Works, Department of Parks, Recreation and Museums, Department of Health, Juvenile Detention center, Department of Social services, and the Department of Probation. In addition, numerous public school districts and corporate organizations are also taking advantage of the expedited and efficient care services to provide cost savings to the taxpayers of Nassau County.

Mr. Gianelli added: “By providing one stop shopping for occupational and corporate services at NUMC, we can provide efficiencies of care that governmental agencies may not be able to access, by providing expedited care, whether on pre-employment physicals or on the workers’ comp. side.  Our goal is to reduce costs to various townships, school districts and Nassau County government by providing a cost saving benefit to the taxpayers of Nassau County.”
