ANTHONY J. RESTAINO, NUHEALTH’S ADMINISTRATOR FOR THE A. HOLLY PATTERSON EXTENDED CARE FACILITY, ELECTED SECRETARY TO NYSHFA BOARD OF DIRECTORS DISTRICT 2
East Meadow, NY……….Anthony J. Restaino, NuHealth’s administrator of the A. Holly Patterson Extended Care Facility, has been elected to the New York State Health Facilities Association (NYSHFA) board of directors, as secretary of District 2. District 2 is comprised of all NYSHFA facility members in Nassau County. NYSHFA is a statewide professional association comprised of over 250 member facilities, with 14 districts throughout New York State, spanning the continuum of long term care throughout New York and which all help to improve the quality of care for residents of long term care.
“Congratulation to Mr. Restaino on his election to the board of NYSHFA, where he will be able to play an important role in advancing the mission of NYSHFA, making a valuable contribution that will have a lasting and significant impact on nursing home residents throughout the region,” stated Arthur A. Gianelli, President/CEO of the NuHealth System..
As a board member of NYSHFA, Mr. Restaino’s responsibilities will include representing District 2 and the Association at large, advocate on behalf of the Association, including visits and communications with legislators and regulators, act as liaison between district members and the Association, convey all pertinent information regarding regulatory, legal, financial, updates to the membership. Mr. Restaino also is a member of NYSHFA’s convention committee.
Larry Slatky, executive vice president for operations expressed his congratulations: “This is a great accomplishment and justifies the respect and confidence the nursing home industry has for Mr. Restaino. He is truly worthy of this appointment and I know that he will represent our interests well.”

It is my hope that as a member of the board of directors of the New York State Health Facilities Association, I can have an impact not only on the residents of A. Holly Patterson, but those of Nassau County as well,” added Mr. Restaino.
