The Division of Nephrology and Hypertension at the NuHealth is committed to providing world-class, comprehensive care for patients with a variety of kidney diseases including those who are receiving maintenance dialysis therapy.
NuHealth’s Dialysis Center situated in Uniondale at the A. Holly Patterson Extended Care Facility, is easy to access, offers ample transportation and parking, and operates during extended hours, making hemodialysis treatment accessible 6 days a week. Our Dialysis Center outperforms industry benchmarks for nurse-to-patient ratio by offering an average 1:6 ratio of nurses to patients, compared to the 1:14 average ratio. As a result, patients receive more one-on-one time with their care team which has been shown to improve both patient experience and health outcomes. Our staff speak both Spanish and Creole, and translator services are available for all other languages to ensure clear communication between the patients and their care team.
Our peritoneal dialysis program is designed to allow patients living with end stage kidney disease, to receive dialysis in the convenience of their homes or while they travel.
