Heart disease is the leading cause of death among women, and NuHealth is committed to helping them beat the odds. Our multidisciplinary team of cardiologists, nurses, nutritionists, exercise specialists and other health care professionals works with women with or at risk of developing cardiovascular disease, particularly those with contributing high-risk factors such as diabetes, obesity, hypertension, or being a smoker or past menopause.
Conducted out of NuHealth’s Zaki Hossain Center for Hypertension, Diabetes and Vascular Disease, the Women’s Heart Health program focuses on monitoring and managing contributing factors like high blood pressure and diabetes, and helping you learn how to eat correctly and take steps leading to a healthier lifestyle.
