Endocrinology

Endocrinology

The Division of Endocrinology currently includes 3 fellowship positions, two alternating with one fellowship position in each year of the two-year program. There is a three month (25%) research block each year. The remaining nine months of each year are clinical, with the fellow attending three weekly clinics in general: endocrinology, diabetes, and fine-needle aspiration of the thyroid. The Nassau University Medical Center is a 615-bed hospital with an abundance of excellent clinical material. There is close contact with the three full-time attending physicians, in addition to two outside voluntary staff physicians who participate in the teaching program. NUMC is a clinical campus of the Medical School at SUNY at Stony Brook.
