Kevin F. Mannle, CHFM

Kevin Mannle is the Vice President of Facilities for the NuHealth System. Mr. Mannle comes to NuHealth with 18 years’ experience in healthcare administration, facilities operations, and construction and support services. Prior to joining NuHealth, he was the Associate Vice President for Facilities Management at New York Hospital Queens, a member of the New York Presbyterian Healthcare System. Mr. Mannle was responsible for the Engineering and Planning departments and, in this role, oversaw facility operations and maintenance, long- term planning, design, construction, project management, and compliance relative to operations, infrastructure, construction and safety. He was also a member of the Strategic Master Planning Steering Committee, and responsible for hospital-wide “green” initiatives.

While working at New York Hospital Queens, Mr. Mannle developed and oversaw a highly successful sustainability program. Accomplishments of the program include a 38% reduction in, a 30% reduction in energy-use intensity, an expanded recycling program, food waste reduction strategies, installation of a green roof, features in professional journals, and local television and print media, and the distinction as the leading hospital in the PlaNYC health care carbon challenge campaign. PlaNYC is New York City’s extensive sustainability strategy, first unveiled in 2007 by then-Mayor Michael Bloomberg.

Mr. Mannle’s considerable experience in the facilities fields includes negotiating utility contracts, benchmarking service departments, implementing work order systems and efficiencies, customer service initiatives, and process improvement. He has spoken at facility conferences, and presented green strategies to the New York City Council. He has worked on numerous construction projects, including two acute-care hospital buildings, parking garage, a state-of-the-art inpatient pharmacy utilizing a robotic medication dispensing system, primary and specialty care practices, emergency department expansion, a robotic da Vinci Surgical System, Simulation Education Lab, new boiler, chiller and generator plants, and numerous clinical-equipment replacements.

Mr. Mannle is a member of several national professional associations, including the American Society of Healthcare Engineering (ASHE), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), and American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). He is also active in several local chapters of these organizations: Hospital Engineering Society of Greater New York (HESGNY), and Healthcare Leaders of New York (HLNY). Mr. Mannle received his Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration from Empire State College. He is currently pursuing his MBA at LIU Brooklyn, with an anticipated completion in December 2014. Mr. Mannle lives with his wife and two children in Long Beach, where he is actively involved in local schools, sports and community organizations.
