MEDICAL RECORDS CODER I INPATIENT

NUMC a large multi-faceted and dynamic teaching hospital is seeking a full-time inpatient coder. Candidate must have a thorough knowledge of anatomy, physiology and basic pharmacology as it pertains to coding. Considerable knowledge of coding systems, including but not limited to ICD-9-CM and of guidelines necessary to keep abreast of governmental changes regarding documentation and coding. A High School Diploma and either certification (RHIA, RHIT or CCS) or two years of coding exp. in a medical facility is required.
