NUMC officials are pleased to announce that Dr. Victor Politi, NuHealth/NUMC’s President/CEO, along with Kenneth Jackson, Police Commissioner for the Garden City Police Department, James Romagnoli, VP, Corporate Security at Northwell Health and Alexandra Nigolian, Executive Director of the Nassau County Police Foundation,  will be honored at this year’s ASIS International LI Chapter’s Person of the Year Dinner. The event will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2016 at 7PM at Chateaubriand in Carle Place, NY.

ASIS International, with more than 34,000 members, is the largest international organization for professionals responsible for security, including managers and directors of security. In addition, corporate executives and other management personnel, as well as consultants, architects, attorneys and federal, state and local law enforcement, are becoming involved with ASIS International to understand the constant changes in security issues and solutions. The Long Island Chapter of ASIS International has approximately 500 members. Its membership represents the entire spectrum of security professionals. It is a forum that brings together security professionals to further their common goals and to share experiences and best practices. Corporate security and law enforcement professionals, to include many Fortune 500 companies and the providers of security services, as well as Federal, State and local law enforcement, are involved in the Chapter.

The 2016 Person of the Year Award will go to Victor F. Politi, MD, FACP, FACEP, President/CEO of the NuHealth System/NUMC. Says Dr. Politi, “I am humbled to be honored by ASIS and look forward to continuing to support an organization so dedicated to increasing the effectiveness and productivity of security practices by developing educational programs and materials that address broad security concerns.”

Receiving this year’s Security/Law Enforcement Liaison Award  is Kenneth O. Jackson. James A. Romagnoli will be honored with the Inspector Matthew Simeone, Jr. Memorial Award. Alexandra Nigolian will receive the Young Professional Award.
