NUMC’S DIRECTOR OF PEDIATRIC EMERGENCY, KRISHAN KUMAR, MD, FACEP, APPOINTED TO NYIT COLLEGE OF OSTEOPATHIC MEDICINE ADVISORY BOARD

East Meadow, NY………..Krishan Kumar, MD, FACEP, director of NUMC’s pediatric emergency department has been invited to be  a member of the NYI College of Osteopathic Medicine (NYITCOM) Board of Advisors. NYITCOM prepares osteopathic physicians for careers in health care, including that in the inner cities and rural communities. Since it was founded in 1977, NYITCOM has educated a diverse population of more than 7,000 primary care physicians and specialists who are practicing in the US and the world.

In a recent letter, Dr. Wolfgang Gilliar, Dean of NYITCOM, indicated: “We are pleased to invite you to participate in the NYITCOM Advisory Board, with a primary responsibility to participate in the development of policy and major decision-making at board meetings, held four times a year.”

Victor F. Politi, MD, FACP, FACEP, NuHealth/NUMC’s President/CEO, congratulated Dr. Kumar on his appointment: “It is an honor for you to have been selected to serve on the NYITCOM Board of Advisors because of your experience and reputation in the national and international community.
