Four-Year $240 Million Modernization Program

The program includes significant investments in real estate consolidation, facility improvements, clinical equipment and information technology at NUMC, the replacement of our nursing home and enhancements to the Community Health Centers, all to benefit patient care and safety. This provides a window of opportunity in the next four years for our public institution, serving the indigent and uninsured to reorganize, consolidate, maximize our real estate and through information technology, efficiently reconfigure our operations. This Modernization Program will be funded from the Nassau Health Care Corporation's operations 2004 refunding, New York State Department of Health reimbursable project and requests to be made to Nassau County for tobacco settlement proceeds.
