QUALITY ASSURANCE COORDINATOR
Nassau Health Care Corporation is seeking a candidate
to audit, monitor and evaluate the procedures
and personnel involved in providing, reviewing
and recording patient care. The ideal candidate
will have knowledge of federal, state, local and
regulatory agency requirements and the ability
to implement changes to ensure compliance. Must
have excellent communication skills to interface
with various members of hospital staff to establish
Quality Assurance priorities. Must have knowledge
of medical terminology, diagnoses, treatments
and procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited
or New York State registered college or university
and 6 years of satisfactory nursing experience
including 4 years experience supervising a nursing
unit & two years experience in quality assurance
or utilization review are required.
Note:
- Experience, as outlined above, in excess
of the six-year requirement, may be substituted
for college education on a year-for-year basis,
up to a maximum of two years.
- A Master's degree from a regionally accredited
or New York State registered college or university,
with major course work in a health-related
field, may be substituted for one year of
the non-supervisory nursing experience.
- Experience, as outlined above, in Quality
Assurance of Utilization Review, may be substituted
for the supervisory nursing experience described
above, on a year-for-year basis, up to a maximum
of two years./li>
