Reginald Bullock Jr. was appointed as the General Counsel and Senior Vice President
for Legal Affairs for the Nassau Health Care Corporation
as of June 2, 2008. Mr. Bullock is responsible
for overseeing all legal matters that affect NHCC
operations at the Nassau University Medical Center,
the A. Holly Patterson Extended Care Facility
and the Community Health Centers.
Prior to joining NHCC, Mr. Bullock was a Senior
Associate General Counsel and Assistant Secretary
at the North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System
from September 2000 until May 2008, and served
as the North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System’s
Acting Chief Compliance Officer from June to October
of 2007. While at North Shore, Mr. Bullock advised
health system entities on general corporate law,
real estate, corporate finance, corporate governance,
healthcare regulation and exempt organization
issues under State and Federal law. Mr. Bullock
was also responsible for procurement and information
technology contracting and was primary counsel
to The Feinstein Institute for Medical Research
and the North Shore-LIJ Graduate School for Molecular
Medicine.
From 1993 to 2000, Mr. Bullock worked at Wood,
Rafalsky & Wood LLP where he became a partner
in their Real Estate and Corporate Group. From
1989 to 1991, Mr. Bullock worked as an Associate
in the Corporations Department of Hale and Dorr
in Boston, Massachusetts and, from 1991 to 1993,
in the Corporate and Tax Group of Carpenter, Bennett
& Morrissey in Newark, New Jersey.
Mr. Bullock received his Juris Doctor degree from
the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva
University in June 1989, where he served as a
Senior Notes and Comments Editor for the Cardozo
Arts & Entertainment Law Journal and received
the Dr. Samuel Belkin Service Award. Mr. Bullock
graduated from Bard College in 1984 where he received
a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Studies with
a concentration in Economics; he was also the
recipient of the Eric Warren Goldman Scholarship
for Economics and the Eleanor Dulles Bourne Fellowship
for Social Studies.
Mr. Bullock was admitted to practice in the State
of New York in March 1990 and in New Jersey in
June 1991.
