Michael B. Mirotznik
Mr. Mirotznik was appointed in early April 2014 as Chairman of the Nassau Health Care Corporation (NuHealth) Board of Directors by Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano, who exercised his rights under the NHCC’s enabling statute. Mr. Mirotznik graduated from Brooklyn Law School in 1991, and obtained his undergraduate degree from New York University in 1987. A partner in the general law practice of Mirotznik and Associates, LLC, in East Meadow, Mr. Mirotznik specializes in all phases of civil, criminal and medical malpractice litigation. His general practice consists of state and local courts of records and administrative bodies. His professional court admissions include the Bar of the State of New York in September 1992, the U.S. District Court Eastern District of New York and Southern District of New York in November 1992 and the U.S. Supreme Court in October 2009.
Active in numerous professional organizations, he serves as the current first vice-president of the Jewish Lawyers Association of Nassau County, and a past president of the Nassau Lawyers Association of L.I. He is a member of the Nassau County Bar Association, and had served as its former co-chairman of the Insurance Law Committee. Currently, he serves as Counsel to Assemblyman Joseph Saladino, who is the Nassau County Assembly Delegation Leader. He also serves as Prosecutor of the Incorporated Village of East Rockaway. Mr. Mirotznik, who grew up in East Meadow, now resides in South Bellmore with his wife and two children.
